The support and training interventions for this programme are divided into two tiers. Below we outline the specific support and training sessions for each part of the programme. Some of these sessions are open to all students registered for this programme, while others are ordered according to your level of enrolment.
To see the full list of sessions you can go to the training schedule . ‘Blast’ sessions will be incorporated into the courses as we become aware of aspects that students struggle with. These are ancillary to the set sessions and are designed to zoom in on competencies that require further attention. Lastly, one-on-one and peer-to-peer sessions will be arranged with students who are identified as needing this intervention. We will communicate the dates and arrangements of these to you via email and on the College of Graduate Studies’ social media platforms.
Academic Integrity Fundamentals:
We can all agree that academic writing – especially on an advanced postgraduate level – is not something that comes easily. We are tasked with writing in a way that meets the requirements and standards of our Institution and that best showcases our arguments and contributions.
The bad news is that just academic reading alone often does not help us with all the skills we need. The good news is that we’ve got you!
In order to accelerate your skills in academic writing, and writing with academic integrity, you need to join the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Academic Writing and Integrity.
