Samuel Ojo Oloruntoba is Adjunct Research Professor at the Institute of African Studies, Carleton University, Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) and Honorary Professor at the TM-School (Unisa), where he was previously Associate Professor. He obtained a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Lagos (Nigeria). Formerly a Visiting Scholar at the Program of African Studies, Northwestern University, Evanston, he is an alumnus of Brown International Advanced Research Institute (Brown University, Rhode Island). Oloruntoba is the author, editor and co-editor of several books, and his research interests include the political economy of development in Africa, regional integration, migration, democracy and development, global governance of trade and finance, the politics of natural resources governance and EU–Africa relations.
