SAS / JMP |
Advanced analytics, multivariate analysis, business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics. This includes mining, managing and retrieving data from a range of sources (such as social media, corporate databases and other data sources) and perform statistical analysis on this data. |

Mathematica and Wolfram System Modeller |
Mathematica is a symbolic mathematics package from Wolfram Inc., and is a modern technical computing system spanning most areas of technical computing - including neural networks, machine learning, image processing, geometry, data science, visualizations, and others.
Wolfram System Modeller is a platform for engineering as well as life-science modelling and simulation. |

Can be accessed directly via Wolfram’s website.
Activation for students via registration request on Mathematica website. Requests using a valid myLife Unisa email account will automatically receive a Mathematica activation key.

Matlab and Simulink |
Matlab is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and programming computing environment specializing in linear algebra and numerical analysis, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other programming languages.
Simulink adds graphical multi-domain simulation and model-based design for dynamic and embedded systems. |
