This file was initially tagged by Ytoyoda as Logo
Converted to regular DR to allow for discussion, as the logo on the shield might be covered by freedom-of-panorama exception of UK. -- Túrelio (talk) 12:26, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Based on Category:Logos of Arsenal F.C., the cannon shape here is post-2002, so it's probably in copyright. Whether FOP helps is a tricky question. The logo appears to be cut out of the gold material, so you might argue that it's a sculpture. If it is a sculpture then I think FoP would apply. --bjh21 (talk) 21:19, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Kept: I think this can be seen as "works of artistic craftsmanship" per COM:FOP UK. --Ellywa (talk) 21:07, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

Com:FOP UK states:
- OK for 2D "works of artistic craftsmanship"
- Not OK for 2D "graphic works" {{FoP-UK}}.
This file was in an earlier DR kept since it was interpreted as a work of artistic craftmanship. To me it is clear however that it's a graphic work, unless it is proven otherwise. Jonteemil (talk) 13:21, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- The cannon seems to be more or less 3D but the rest of the logo seems to be a 2D graphic work. Jonteemil (talk) 13:22, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- The text is also raised proud of the surface, so only the curved white lines are truly 2D. I don't know if this is enough to make the logo a sculpture rather than a graphic work (I'm pretty sure it's not a work of artistic craftsmanship in either case). --bjh21 (talk) 16:46, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, you are correct, the text also seems to be 3D. COM:TOO UK however is very low so even without the text and the cannon, the logo would likely be copyrightable anyway. Jonteemil (talk) 17:26, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

- File:Oversized shield plaque, Emirates Stadium, London N7 - geograph.org.uk - 4476827.jpg is another photo of the same sign, so it should be deleted (or not) based on the outcome of this DR. --bjh21 (talk) 16:50, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. Jonteemil (talk) 17:27, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment This is definitely 3D. Whether that makes it a sculpture is a question of UK law, so I bow out on that. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:39, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Ikan Kekek: Definitely 3D you say? As far as I can tell, only the cannon and text is 3D. Jonteemil (talk) 23:06, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Right. Which makes it 3D. What else could it make it? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:40, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- The logo is more than just the cannon and the text. And that part is very likely above COM:TOO UK which is very low. We would need proof that the entire logo is 3D to keep it, according to me anyway. Jonteemil (talk) 02:56, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that the 2D part of the logo would be above COM:TOO UK. I just don't know how UK laws apply to this kind of situation. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:18, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Kept: 3D artwork. --Yann (talk) 19:24, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
