Commons:Bots/Work requests
This is a page for requesting work to be done by a bot. This is an appropriate place to simply put ideas for bots. However be aware of various tools available to all users which can be used to accomplish the work without the need for a bot:

Minutes of the Defense Plant Corporation Vol. 45 part 2[edit]
There are just over 800 images titled "File:Volume 45- Part 2; August 16-31, 1944 - DPLA - 5a2c47def387e577ddbe2e08aa2ca6c5 (page 2).jpg", etc (which is a terrible name)[1] that I would like to add into Category:Minutes of the Defense Plant Corporation Vol. 45 part 2. I don't think file renaming is necessary but it would be helpful if a bot could just add the category so the files are somewhere. :) I'm sure we may break it down further later. -- 23:52, 27 May 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ricky81682 (talk • contribs)
- @Ricky81682: Done. 815 files are now in Category:Minutes of the Defense Plant Corporation Vol. 45 part 2. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 13:13, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
User:Fæ: Portable Antiquities Scheme and more[edit]
User:Fæ has understandably but unfortunately left the project. He ran a number of important bot projects. Can someone pick some or all of these up, please? Or comment on any that are already in hand?
In particular, I'd like to see his Portable Antiquities Scheme uploads restarted - these comprise images of archaeological finds from the UK. Also image uploads from the UK Ministry of Defence.
I'm not sure whether the code for these projects is online, or whether Fæ would be willing to provide it by email, but I can ask, if there is interest. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 09:53, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: - if the last working source code could be obtained, I am interested in looking into it. If source code cannot be obtained, I may be able to look into it at some point, but it will inevitably be much further down on my list of priorities. Askeuhd (talk) 08:46, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
Solving FaceMePLS uploads 2022-05-18 Flickr Uploads[edit]
There are over 5,000 in Flickr images needing human review that were uploaded by User:1VeertjeBot. These images need review, similar to what User:FlickreviewR 2 already does, however these images are relying on the archived link to prove that they were at some point under the correct license, since they are currently under All Rights Reserved. I am requesting a bot go through these files to review them with their archived links, while also adding {{Flickr-change-of-license}}. Thanks, Elisfkc (talk) 17:16, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
Adding missing descriptions[edit]
There are ~1200 uploads by Benjah-bmm27 missing a description (incategory:Media_lacking_a_description Benjah-bmm27). The file name could be inserted as (provisional) description using a bot: {{en|File name without extension}}

i18n of sk "CatDiffuse" tags[edit]
Could anyone replace this Slovak language tag about categorization
- <big>'''Vďaka za váš obrázok. Pomôžte prosím, udržať v kategórii systém a poriadok. Preto svoj obrázok správne zaraďte do príslušnej podkategórie'''</big>
from the search query with a standard i18n {{CatDiffuse}} tag? The meaning is the same. — Draceane talkcontrib. 08:52, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Draceane: Done. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 09:27, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
