Je m’etonnais de voir sur la carte que vous avez créé la commune de neuf Brisach avec le nom de la commune allemande outre Rhin qui lui soit accolée. Est-ce une erreur ou bien le réseau de Vauban l’affichait comme tel auparavant ?(lien actuel)

Wiki Loves Monuments France 2019

Bonjour,

Le concours Wiki Loves Monuments France est de retour et ouvert jusqu'à 31 septembre ! Déjà 8313 photos ont été importés cette année, vous aussi rejoignez le concours !

Le concours concerne tous les monuments présents dans la base Mérimée (qu'ils soient classés, inscrits ou simplement classés). De l'imposant château aux ruines industrielles, de la chapelle au coin de la rue aux mégalithes en forêt, c'est un impressionnant patrimoine qui attend d'être photographié et documenté. Où que vous soyez il y a des monuments autour de chez vous. Enfin, vous pouvez mettre en ligne autant de photos que vous le souhaitez de ces monuments. Pour information, le règlement est disponible sur le site du concours. Nous attendons vos photos avec impatience !

Les plus belles photos seront sélectionnées par un jury national composé d'amateurs et de professionnels, de contributeurs à Wikimedia Commons et d'acteurs du patrimoine. Un jury international sélectionnera ensuite des meilleures photographies mondiales.

Si vous avez des questions, l'équipe organisatrice se fera un plaisir d'y répondre.

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Bonjour, J'ai constaté une absence de mise à jour de la carte sur l'état de l'IVG en Europe, notamment pour l'Irlande : l'Eire devrait être en bleu depuis fin 2018 et l'Ulster en vert depuis l'alignement de sa législation sur le reste du Royaume-Uni, il y a quelques semaines. Je ne sais pas modifier un fichier média, c'est pourquoi je vous sollicite, vous qui êtes le dernier à avoir corrigé ce même fichier le 1er juin 2018. Hi, the Emilia-Romagna Region, wants to change the file with the original and approved one. I could upload a new file as a new media (as I did here https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Logo_ufficiale_Regione_Emilia-Romagna.svg ), but seen the image already present, is used in many other pages, updating the file and the informations should be a faster solution. is this possibile? How can I do this?

Bonjour @Sémhur: Je viens de créer, sur le modèle de l'article consacré à l'Expédition du Solide, un article sur l'Expédition du Bordelais. Je trouve très parlante la carte illustrant les étapes de l'expédition du Solide, et j'aimerais bien faire la même pour l'expédition du Bordelais. Quels instruments doivent être utilisés? Bonjour CéCédille,

Le logiciel utilisé pour faire cette carte est Inkscape, un logiciel gratuit de dessin vectoriel. Il est assez intuitif, et la carte que tu veux faire s'y prête tout à fait.

Je ne connaissais pas l'expédition du Bordelais, qui semble être une aventure jumelle (à trente ans d'écart !) de celle du Solide. N'hésite pas à me demander si tu bloques lors de l'élaboration de la carte.

Maps of Faroe Islands

Hi, the location map of Faroe Islands (File:Faroe_Islands_location_map.svg) lacks the precision and details of other location maps. I tried to update it by replacing it with File:Map_of_the_Faroe_Islands_en.svg. But they don't align perfectly and I thought it might change equirectangular N/S stretching and also the divisions were slightly off. I'm a beginner and I don't know how to edit properly. Au vu de votre maîtrise des outils graphiques, accepteriez-vous de créer une carte inspirée de ce modèle non libre de droits ? Sans intention de plagiat, bien entendu ! :-)

En effet, je regrette de ne pas disposer d'un fichier qui intègre ces nuances et précisions historiques, absentes de deux fichiers [1], [2] pourtant utilisés pour illustrer des articles Wikipédia aussi consultés que Jeanne d'Arc et Histoire de France...

En effet, les cartes que vous indiquez (Guerre de cent ans (1435).svg et Traité de Troyes.svg) sont datées et ne correspondent plus aux critères de qualité actuelles du projet.

N'étant actif que par intermittence sur Wikipédia, je vous invite à formuler votre demande auprès de l'atelier graphique. Vous aurez plus de chance qu'elle soit traitée, que ce soit par moi ou par un autre wikicartographe.

File: Magellan-Elcano circumnavigation. Inversion in two place-names and wrong track to depict the final part of the route.

Dear Semhur, fist of all, let me thank you for your job. Yours is the nicest map depicting Magellan's route that I could find. Nonetheless (or, better, all the more !) it is important to amend it from two important mistakes: 1) The names that Magellan gave to the first two islands (Athols) he stumbled into in the Pacific were, respectively, San Pablo (now Puka Puka) and Isla de los Tiburones (now Vostok, probably). In your map Magellan's names for these islands are INVERTED. 2) The route Elcano followed to come back from Cabo Verde islands, in order to escape to the Portuguese chasing him, was VERY DIFFERENT from the one you depicted in your map. From Cabo Verde, Elcano had to navigate North-West, surpassing the Azores islands ! Only then he could head for the Iberic peninsula, in order to simulate that his ship was coming back from the Americas. This (eluding the Portuguese) was an incredible feat of Elcano's, who managed to come back from Moluccas with one short stop only (in Cabo Verde) and taking a very long, but elusive route. I think providing the correct route is vital for people to understand Elcano and Albo's (his pilot) incredible feat !! The book will feature maps based on existing data, reimagined by a team of graphic designers, and will be sold throughout the world in all languages in volume and electronic form.

location maps pays basque

Dans le passé j'ai utilisé Catalonia location map.svg et Catalonia relief location map.svg de ta main sur le wikipédia néerlandophone. Actuellement je suis en train d'écrire sur le pays basque, et je voulais te demander si tu avais la possibilité de faire une paire de cartes similaires pour cette région-là. J'ai déjà trouvé Basque Country location map.svg, mais je ne retrouve pas la carte topographique, et il me semble qu'il n'existe pas.

Hello, I conducted an academic research titled South Caucasus Policy of the Urartian State and published the results of the research (you can find it here .[3]). As a result of my research, I gave a wide coverage to the South Caucasus Policy of the Urartians and as a result of their expeditions here, I proved that some regions were not included in the Urartian kingdom in terms of archaeological finds and linguistics. As you know, this issue has been discussed for many years, but no conclusion has been reached.
