IEC Final reminder on extension of application to participate in the 2023 SRC Elections

Pursuant to the IEC voter education sessions held at the Regions in May 2023, which mainly focused on the registration requirements for the UNISA SRC Elections, we hereby remind you of the extended deadline submission date. We trust that you will give this matter your highest priority.

100 handwritten signature registration requirements

Regarding the 100 handwritten signature registration requirements, IEC has made a provision for student structures/organisations to download and email the MS Word format form to their constituencies to complete by typing their names, student numbers and affix their e-signatures. Student structures are also allowed to print the form and ask their constituency to complete and sign the form by hand.

Final registration date

We are looking forward to receiving your registration packages not later than 9 June 2023 at 16:00pm, and emailed to srcelections@unisa.ac.za and makamsp@unisa.ac.za.

Please note that no further extension will be granted. IEC will proceed to the next phase even if there are no submissions in other regions.

It remains the responsibility of each student structure/organization to ensure that the closing date is adhered to, to enable participation in the upcoming SRC elections in August.
