UNISA mandates that students complete a specified number of assignments for each module before they are allowed to take the examination. These assignments are intended to ensure students are thoroughly prepared for their examination. Assignments may include but not limited to forums, blogs, MCQs fully online/quiz assessments, external assessments (e.g. laboratory work or other practical assessments), essays, reports, research articles, tests, case studies, orals.
Our mission is to efficiently manage the submission process and ensure the prompt return of student assignments, timely recording of marks, and provision of feedback, while upholding fairness, accuracy, and integrity in the academic process to enhance the overall learning experience of our students
All assignments, MCQs/ Quizzes and file uploads should be submitted online using myUnisa.
Students who receive supplementary examinations, aegrotat or special examinations may not resubmit assignments to improve their year mark.
Submitting an MCQ/Quiz-style assignment via myUnisa is a straightforward, efficient, and reliable process. To complete your assignment, follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
Make sure you are online to access and complete the MCQ/Quiz assignment on my Unisa. The system will present you with randomized questions, which you can answer while logged in. If the quiz is proctored, you will not be able to proceed if your camera is disabled.
After you finish the assignment, you will receive an automated confirmation receipt; it is advisable to save this for your records. The assignment is automatically graded based on the memorandum provided by the lecturer. Once grading is complete, your results will be available on both my Unisa (my Admin) and Moodle.
Prepare your assignment in the file format specified in your tutorial letter or announcements. The file must be in one of the formats listed in the "Specify the type of file" drop-down menu on the submission screen, as not all file types are accepted.
To upload your file, click "File picker" to select and upload your file from your computer to the Unisa network. Ensure you preview the file to confirm its legibility and correctness before uploading. Once the correct file is selected, click “Save” to finalize the submission. You will see the message “Submitted for grading” to confirm that your file has been submitted successfully.
Please note: It is not possible to request the cancellation of assignments if the due date has passed, all submission efforts have been exhausted, or the assignment has been marked.
Before you finalise the upload, double check that you have:
