South Africa Sweden University Forum (SASUF) Research and Innovation Week 2023: Satellite events

The South Africa Sweden University Forum (SASUF) is a collaboration project between Swedish and South African universities with its aim being to strengthen joint work towards UN SDGs collaboration between the countries within research and education.

As a partner in SASUF 2030, the university will be participating in satellite events scheduled from 27 to 31 March 2023. The SASUF partnership endorses the conviction that working multilaterally will achieve better results than working unilaterally. The collaborations facilitated by SASUF generate innovative approaches, solutions and society-wide results that would otherwise not be possible, making cooperation between South Africa and Sweden a local and global model for sustainable development. The strong relations between South Africa and Sweden today rest on a foundation of mutual trust, cooperation and exchange. As two countries on the opposite ends of the world, we realise that cooperation is key to our future prosperity.

The satellite events utilise the momentum built between the countries over the last few years and maximise the potential of the work started in reaching joint solutions to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the heart of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. SASUF 2030 will combine physical meetings with a clear focus on virtual collaboration.
