Special arrangements for students who are unable to write their examinations scheduled on Religious or Holy Days

Unisa recognises that some examinations are scheduled on students’ religious/holy days. Students who are negatively affected by their examination scheduling on religious/holy days are requested to apply for alternative examination arrangements. To do so, students’ religious organisation must communicate with Unisa/DSAA directly to inform Unisa of:

  • Name, Surname and Student Number of the enrolled member of the religious organization
  • Module code affected by examination scheduling
  • Nature of Objection
  • Dates of religious days

The above communication should be sent to religiousstudents@unisa.ac.za for processing at least 7 days prior to the examination sitting for processing. Letters received directly from students will not be processed.

Students who have been exempted from such examinations will be accommodated through alternative arrangements within the same examination period.
