Voting in the 2023 Unisa SRC Elections officially closed on Monday, 21st August 2023, at 16H00.
The IEC would like to sincerely thank all students who participated in the election process. We have received an overwhelming response.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude exclusively to the contesting student structures for peacefully working with one another. We have learnt over time that, by nature, SRC elections are sensitive and highly contested everywhere.
The results will be shared with the auditors to do the auditing and provide assurance on the processes and the systems before the official release. The IEC hereby appeals for calm, patience, cooperation, and tolerance from everyone as we await the official release of the results.
