The Silent Snipers Team comprising of two Unisa students, Susan Jonas and Tamara Jonas, recently won first place in South Africa at the 2022 AR/VR Africa Metathon. For the duo, Unisa teaches students to take initiative, be independent and acquire virtual skills, which assisted them to conquer the challenge. Read more

Bezalem Eshetu Yirdaw, a PhD student in Unisa’s College of Science, Engineering and Technology, was announced as one of the top 20 scientists awarded the 2022 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Sub-Saharan Africa Young Talents Award for her work in child morbidity. Read more
