AI-Digital Youth Conference 2023

Unisa was invited to participate in the AI-Digital Youth Conference organised by Ethekwini Municipality in collaboration with the GoDigitalISA Foundation. The conference occurred from the 19^th  to the 21^st July at the Durban Inkosi Albert International Conversion Centre (ICC).

The convention aimed to inspire and educate young people about the potential of technology as a tool of social impact, design thinking, and enterprise development. It also aimed to promote active learning, leading to digital literacy, skills development and entrepreneurial success.

The event provided a platform for collaboration between youth, local government and private sector stakeholders to deal with service delivery service challenges in the community through innovative tech start-up ideas.  

Unisa’s products and services were displayed to various stakeholders who attended the conference. The College of Science, Engineering and Technology also had an exhibition stand to showcase courses offered in technology.

GoDigitalSA was established in 2018 as a change agent that transfers skills, instils confidence, and highlights enterprise development opportunities.
