A great opportunity for young writers

The Journal of African Youth Literature (Jay Lit) is a periodical publishing creative writing and essays, mainly by African youths but also any other writers producing work under the broad theme of African youth.

‘We encourage submissions in African languages and languages widely spoken in Africa, such as French, Portuguese and English,’ says the publication’s managing editor, Bronwyn King, who is a English Studies honours student at Unisa. ‘The call for submissions is open for the third issue, and the deadline is 30 November 2020.’

You can view issue one and two of the journal at https://bit.ly/2SxiOI8 and https://bit.ly/33OTiFN respectively.

Author guidelines are available at the publication’s website (http://africanyouthliterature.art.blog) and submissions can be sent to africanyouthliterature@gmail.com.
