The university welcomes two new Unisans to Executive Management: Dr Phasoane Mokgobu as Vice-Principal: Institutional Development and Transformation and Poppy Tshabalala, Chief Information Officer and Vice-Principal: Information and Communication Technology.
Dr Mokgobu has more than 15 years of experience in senior management roles in HR management, transformation, and employee relations in both higher education and global high-tech industries. He also has exposure to the financial and business sectors.
Ms Tshabalala has spent her entire career in ICT. A personal highlight was when she was voted finalist for the ICT visionary award in 2008 by the Computer Society of South Africa. She comes to Unisa from a five-year stint at the Department of Trade and Industry where she was the Chief Information Officer.
