Over and above the aesthetic upgrades, the Gqeberha regional service centre has ramped up its support for students by appointing interns who play a crucial role in assisting them at the self-help area and the express counter. These interns distribute essential study materials and ensure that the students receive prompt assistance with academic records, proof of registration, and accounts, essentially minimising long waiting times. The centre has also introduced a new ticket system to manage queues and improve efficiency.

In addition to the staff members who assist with enquiries related to student funding, another notable highlight is the presence of a Fundi consultant, aiding students seeking financial assistance. Lastly, the library is finalising its weeding process to optimise its collection by removing obsolete and irrelevant materials to ensure that there is ample space for new resources that better meet the needs of the students.
