On 18 October 2024, Unisa, in partnership with the Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Foundation, will host the 4th Oliver Reginald Tambo Annual Memorial Lecture, themed Integrating constitutionalism and ethical leadership to reclaim Africa’s intellectual futures, at the Muckleneuck Campus, Tshwane. The lecture commemorates the life and legacy of Oliver Reginald Tambo, a visionary leader and advocate for constitutionalism, democracy, and ethical leadership.
The keynote address will be delivered by renowned Senior Council and Advocate, Leah Gcabashe, an accomplished member of the South African judiciary. Gcabashe has an extensive career dedicated to constitutional law, social justice, and human rights. Her presentation will focus on how constitutionalism and ethical leadership can shape Africa’s future, drawing on the life and work of Oliver Tambo as a foundation for intellectual and leadership development on the continent.
