In a lively celebration of Women's Month, the Unisa Tshwane Regional Student Representative Council (RSRC) recently organised an impactful Women's Day Seminar. The event, themed: "Echoes of her future: Dreaming and defining," gathered women from diverse sectors to engage in conversations and activities focused on empowerment, gender equality, and women's pivotal roles in shaping the future.
The seminar attracted a diverse audience of women, activists, and professionals eager to celebrate Women's Day and explore the challenges and opportunities facing women today. Led by Chairperson, Tania Molapo and Secretary, Andiswa Shembe, the event aimed to provide a platform for women to address pressing issues and draw inspiration from each other to dream boldly and define their paths in different fields.

There were a series of interactive activities, keynote speeches, and panel discussions, all revolving around the theme. Participants were urged to visualise their future, take control of their narratives, and actively shape the paths they aspire to pursue. The event theme deeply resonated with the attendees, empowering them to take tangible steps towards their goals.
A stand-out moment of the event was the emphasis on women's narratives and the significance of sharing experiences. A participant remarked: "The Women's Day Seminar provided a vital platform for women to share their stories and dreams, fostering a community of empowerment and support. This inaugural seminar is poised to become an annual tradition, showcasing the Tshwane RSRC's enduring dedication to gender equality and women empowerment. As the event concluded, there was a palpable sense of camaraderie and a collective drive to continue empowering women within the university and in society at large.
