The Unisa Directorate: Counselling and Career Development invites you to a career talk about "Why am I here?" Career exploration for 1st year students. When it comes to exploring your career options, being proactive is crucial. The earlier you start, the better you can narrow down your choices and gain authentic experience to bolster your CV for employers. Your career exploration experience is what you make of it. Whether through research, internships, job shadowing, volunteer work, involvement in university activities, or work study, absorbing what you learn is crucial to developing skills for the professional world and achieving success. Our guest speaker will share his career exploration experience.

Our speaker is Mr Stanley Namakhota. Mr Namakhota Stanley works in the Office of the Vice Principal Teaching and Learning, Community Engagement and Student Support, where he supports students. He was born in Limpopo's Mopani District. Stanley is a dedicated and committed individual who has achieved a Bachelor of Social Work (Cum Laude) and an Honours degree in Social Behaviour. He is currently studying for his Master of Arts in Social Behaviour Studies.
