Edward Shizha is a Professor in Youth and Children’s Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. He received his PhD from the University of Alberta. His research focuses on education and indigenous knowledge systems in Africa, as well as migration and transnationalism. He has 12 books to his credit, including Living beyond borders: essays on global immigrants and refugees (Peter Lang, 2018) and African indigenous knowledge and the sciences: journeys into the past and present (Sense, 2016). He has also published several book chapters and journal articles, which have been widely cited. Dr Shizha is the book series editor for Africa in the global space, which is published by Peter Lang.
