This file was initially tagged by Fountains of Bryn Mawr as Speedy (speedydelete) and the most recent rationale was: Not Public Domain by age and states Unknown author Probably PD-US. Yann (talk) 14:05, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unknown author and 1951 seems to be excluded by PD-old-70. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 16:48, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Fountains of Bryn Mawr: US copyright until 1978 doesn't use the date of death. Yann (talk) 17:47, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You cited PD-US, that would be a deletion per 1951 creation date. It would help if you cited your specific rational/tag. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 20:05, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep We accept {{Cc-by-sa-4.0-heirs}} or {{PD-US-no notice}} for family collections. Looking at the collection, either the father or mother of the family took the images. Where they both appear, their child or they asked someone to take the image. In the US if you intended to copyright your images, you had to comply with all copyright formalities, registration, renewal up to 1964, and the copyright symbol and year and copyright holder's name on the image. Failure to comply meant loss of copyrights, even if the intention was to copyright. We have a list of motion pictures that had a flawed copyright notice and copyright was lost. That ended in 1989. --RAN (talk) 21:33, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
