Have your graduation invite with you before you report to a graduation venue

Unisa has learned that some students reported to the Muckleneuk Campus between Monday and Wednesday this week (27-29 June 2022) to attend graduation ceremonies. Upon investigation, it was established that some of the students were still in possession of their original invites released in March and April 2022.

The University has been communicating via various platforms on the status of graduation ceremonies, following the initial disruptions in March and the later disruptions that took place as a result of the industrial action. Unisa has indicated in all communications that it would inform students when it was ready to resume the graduation ceremonies.

Graduations resumed at the university’s campuses on 27 June 2022 and will run till  05 August 2022. The venues and dates are as follows:

  • First series: Polokwane, 27 and 28 June 2022
  • Second series:  Muckleneuk Campus (Tshwane), 01 to 08 July 2022
  • Third series: Cape Town, 11 to 13 July 2022
  • Fourth series: Durban (1), 18 to 22 July 2022
  • Fifth series: East London, 27 to 28 July 2022
  • Sixth series: Durban (2), 01 to 05 August 2022

Please do not report for a graduation ceremony if you have not received an invitation via your myLife e-mail account to do so.

Students will receive personalised invitations to these graduation ceremonies. Students are also encouraged to check the following sources for more info on graduation ceremonies:

Graduation related queries should be sent to gaudeamus@unisa.ac.za
