Innovation at Unisa is no longer in its infancy. The growing maturity and influence of the university’s innovation drive were plain to see at the first Unisa Innovation Festival. The Directorate of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Commercialisation hosted the festival to showcase Unisa’s innovation initiatives and gain insights into the latest trends in the broader South African innovation landscape. In an effort to continuously improve its service delivery to students, The Unisa KZN Region has partnered with the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Library Services. The partnership aims to ensure students receive library services close to their residential areas without travelling long distances to the Durban or Pietermaritzburg offices. Read more

Unisa alumni chapter convenors recently attended a workshop that allowed them to reflect on alumni’s role in the past 150 years and the expectations for the upcoming years. One of the main initiatives that emerged was the alumni legacy scholarships which will provide financial assistance to deserving students. Read more
