Tom Tom is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the DSI/NRF SARChI Chair in Social Policy in the College of Graduate Studies of the University of South Africa. Prior to joining the University of South Africa, he was a Senior Lecturer and Chairperson of the Department of Development Studies at the Zimbabwe Open University. His research interests include the social policy dimensions of land and agrarian reform, and inclusive social policy and development prioritising youth, gender and disability. He is a co-investigator in the research project ‘The Social Policy Dimensions of Land and Agrarian Reform in International Perspective’; and is leading a team of researchers in the project ‘Disability Inclusion During Cyclone Idai Disaster Recovery Phase in Zimbabwe’. He has published articles in DHET and internationally recognised journals (ORCID: 0000-0002-4732-7110).
