What are the Requests on the Media Views Analysis page?[edit]

Hello, I wanted to ask a question about the Media views Analysis page. I was curious what do the Requests mean? On the side and at the bottom it says Requests I can't figure out what that means and the 2 different numbers either Requests and Daily Numbers why are they so different as in one is higher than the other. I look at my page and am curious what that means as far as my page on Wikimedia commons. Hope this is clear thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flapper the turtle (talk • contribs) 15:30, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:OrteliusWorldMap1570.jpg[edit]

The information on this picture file (map) is not correct. The true author, as proved by his signature in the bottom part of the file, is Frans Hogenberg who did a later copy of this map, as correctly stated in the text of the article. in other words, the shown illustration, as well as most of the pictures related to it here, are later copies of the original, so they are not from 1570, but from later years — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2.138.14.212 (talk) 15:50, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Delete photos 2[edit]

I wish to delete this file as I uploaded it accidentally; 119316335 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Srk60 (talk • contribs) 15:26, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Srk60,I would need your assistance as I do not know how to do it myself. Thanks Scvetisvet (talk) 15:40, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Srk60: Hi, and welcome. If 7 days have not passed since your upload of the file, please use {{G7}}. If 7 days have passed, please use the automatic Nominate for deletion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests, or if you can't do that (or the page is not a file or you can't use JavaScript), use {{Delete}}. In any case, please follow all the directions on the resulting page. See also COM:SIGN.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 15:48, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Srk60: To clarify, "use {{G7}}" just means "put the text '{{G7}}' at the top of the file page in question." - Jmabel ! talk 17:55, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Found my picture on wikipedia with incorrect citations[edit]

Hi,

I'm a photographer and I just found some of my pictures on wiki, being creddited by someone else. I'm new to wiki and I'm not sure who I can contact to fix the violation?

Thanks! Samboddi (talk) 14:23, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You can ask here, if you include links to the pictures (at commons), or you can nominate the files for deletion: Go to the description page of the image, on the left side there is a link "Nominate for deletion". A text field will pop up, there enter the rationale: "the image is not free, it was taken from http:/...your website with the image... and it is not freely licensed
If you want to have the image kept, but correct the attribution, then go to the image description and make appropriate changes. Insert in the text field "source" a link to your website where you published the image (before it was uploaded here), as a proof, that your changes are correct, insert the same link in the "edit description" field. --C.Suthorn (talk) 14:35, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm still getting used to the wikipedia user interface and it is not easy. This message is about the images that are wrongfully used. I can answer the questions that I saw about where the image came from. The castle was for sale, the images I took were for the publishing on real estate websites. I also got the same image on my instagram with a date that is before the uploaded date on wiki. I also still have the RAW files so I can prove I have the original. Though I'm not sure to who I need to prove it and I also don't know how to transfer large files over wiki. I'm not used to message boards and having my replies in public. Please let me know who I can email on which adress to provide more info, I'll happily do so. Samboddi (talk) 09:39, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category "Branta of the United Kingdom"[edit]

Category:Branta of the United Kingdom is apparently misclassified under Category:Branta canadensis by country‎. I could create Category:Branta by country‎ and put it there, but do we actually want that? Do we want "Branta by country" classifications as well as "Branta X by country"? I'm not sure how this should be dealt with. ITookSomePhotos (talk) 17:24, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, Category:Branta of the United States is already under the (nonexistent) Category:Branta by country. - Jmabel ! talk 17:45, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I created Category:Branta by country which now includes Category:Branta of the United Kingdom. De728631 (talk) 13:32, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@De728631: Looking now at Category:Branta by country, it has "Branta canadensis in the United States‎" and "Branta canadensis in the United Kingdom‎" (and presumbably many more, by extension, as and when they are added) included twice, once via the "Branta of ~" subcat, and once via the "Branta canadensis by country‎" subcat. Is this necessary, or how it should be? ITookSomePhotos (talk) 08:19, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is fine as it is now. Nothing unusual about having two different paths from a category to an indirect subcategory. - Jmabel ! talk 15:41, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'd like to upload a photo to a biographical article that doesn't have one yet.[edit]

The article for Deltina Hay was recently suggested to me for improvement-- I noticed on the talk page that a photo of Hay was requested, as one is not currently present. After a quick google image search, I found a portrait-quality image which probably came from the back cover of one of her novels. How should I go about making sure that I have the correct permissions to upload it? I want to do this by the book. Atomic putty? Rien! (talk) 13:08, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You'd have to get into contact with the photographer or publisher, to check who has the right to license it, and contact that person. You could also ask Hay directly, whether she has an image she would like to illustrate her article on Wikipedia and has the rights to license. If they are willing, follow the advice on Commons:VRT. If you get the image from her, make sure she understands that owning the photo does not make her the copyright owner, that the licence must be valid for anyone, and that you cannot guarantee that it will be used in Wikipedia (until there are alternatives, it is of course likely).
There is of course no guarantee that anyone is willing to license their images. Ask if you have further questions, and stay tuned for advice from others. Good luck!

Copyright Template Creation Requested[edit]

According to Section 183 of Hong Kong's Copyright Ordinance, Hong Kong ordinances (and subsidiary legislations) enter the public domain 50 years after publication (and certainly will fall under {{PD-EdictGov}}). Recently I scanned some ordinances in 1970 and 1971, and intended to upload them to Commons. As there are no suitable copyright templates, I'd like to ask if there're somebody who can create one for me?

Also preferably, I think this newly-created template can be linked to the corresponding copyright template on English Wikisource through Wikidata. Regards.廣九直通車 (talk) 13:26, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@廣九直通車: Wouldn't this be covered by {{PD-HKGov}}? De728631 (talk) 13:29, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@De728631: No, {{PD-HKGov}} doesn't cover ordinances. The copyright protection period for ordinances (publish+50 years) differs from ordinary governmental works.廣九直通車 (talk) 03:49, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Wikimedia Commons has only media that are out of copyright or come with a free licence. All of these published books by Suvarna Nalappat, however, seem to be copyrighted an non-free. That is why we don't have any of them here. De728631 (talk) 14:11, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How to change outdated file name?[edit]

The file name of https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dasycercus_byrnei.JPG is outdated (the genus Dasycercus is a synonym of the commonly accepted Dasyuroides). The file name should thus be changed to "Dasyuroides_byrnei.JPG" in my opinion. How can this be done? (I've changed the English image description already.) Ilaitrandraka (talk) 15:25, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Updating an image file[edit]

Hello, I have been recently interested in updating an image file (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Motorway_D1_SK_map.svg) which is outdated, whilst giving credit to the original author if needed. The update includes changing a few colors in the original image to make it more recent (as you can see in its file history). I am still really new to commons and wikipedia in general, so I don't really understand how it all works here. By that I mean I don't even know how to download the image and make the edit in the first place. I am grateful for any help LegendaSM07 (talk) 16:18, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, I've never worked with SVG files. I was just clarifying something that had given me a few seconds pause in understanding what you were asking for. - Jmabel ! talk 19:34, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you go to the file description page (which you linked), there is a link to the "original file". Right click on it (or whatever) and choose download. Then do whatever changes you want to do, with a suitable SVG editor. Now the question is whether to upload the updated file under the same or another name. Usually I would say under a new name, as usually when there have been significant changes. Some Wikipedia article might have a caption telling "as of February 2021". However, in this case, it seems updated versions have been uploaded several times already. So go back to the file description page and down to the list of versions. Just after that list, in fine print, there is the option to upload a new version. Click it, choose your updated file from your browser's file manager, type a suitable comment ("updated to the situation 2022-06-18" or whatever) and click upload. That's it, more or less. –LPfi (talk) 20:35, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

cropping out watermark with different name from flickr origin[edit]

I want to crop out the watermark from this image using COM:CROPT, overwriting the original.

The watermark contains an abbreviated name different to the name of the flickr account from which the photo originated though. What should I do with this abbreviated name?

I'm thinking I should change the name in the author field to the abbreviated name (and of course keep the same link), but I'm unsure if this is the best thing to do. I read COM:WM however it didn't provide advice on what to do in this situation. Neuroxic (talk) 13:14, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Use of watermark that do not destroy usability or promote a website or something is not prohibited, only discouraged (because it may deter from usability, but doesn't destroy it). I would leave it there, or use Photoshop to remove it. If the image comes from Flickr, they might have different policies of file uploads and use of watermarks may not be prohibited nor discouraged there. I would be careful with removal of watermarks though, because it might be seen as property theft. If the watermark is small and barely visible, I wouldn't bother with removing it. Polda18 (discussioncontributions) 07:00, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It did make the photo less useful, and it is now removed. The licence explicitly allows distributing modified versions, and attribution in any way suitable for the media, which the attribution on the file description page is. If there are legal problems with this, they should be explored, as removal of such watermarks is our standard practice. The only issue, as I see it, is that we need to add the corresponding text to the file description text, and it was unclear whether it should replace the previous author line or be added in some other way. –LPfi (talk) 10:40, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics of media views[edit]

Hello, I'm wondering about statistics on usage of Commons files. I read this previous archived question which suggest Glamorous and other GLAM-tools.

I'm wondering if there is separate statistics on actual image viewings, and page views where the image is shown? If I understand correctly, Glamorous is showing page views of the Wikipedia articles? Also, what does it mean when Glamorous says `xx,x% of all files` on the "Global file usage"-tab? Any idea how often it updates the stats it shows, or is it real-time?

I have also found the tool pageviews.wmcloud.org/mediaviews - this mentioned media views - is media views different from page views? This mediaviews-tool only gives statistics on individual Commons-files - it would be nice to get wider overviews.

If Mediaviews is separate from page views (as I understand it is), does any tool gives media views per images in a Commons-category similar to Glamorous?

Or is it possible to request mediaview-statistics from an API for an own list of files - i.e. more than the 10 that the tool I mentioned handles? I found this 2018-discussion about it, but not much more. Thanks for tips! Robertsilen (talk) 09:47, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pageviews, MediaViews and other tools (like Glamorous) are based on the MediaWiki API for statistics about WMF sites. You can try out API calls in the API sandbox. Documentation about API calls can be found at the mediawiki.org site (like wikimedia, only written the other way around). Most API calls accept a parameter to get up to 500 results (instead of the default (in most cases 50), and calls that typically result in more than 500 answers often return an additional "continue" parameter, that will allow to iterate the call to get additional answers. --C.Suthorn (talk) 16:30, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Getting over the spam blocklist[edit]

Hey there! I need to change File:Gumroad logo.svg and File:Gumroad old icon.svg to have the right source, but the spam blacklist is preventing me from changing it. Could someone who is above the spam blacklist please change it to be the correct URL? All that's needed is to remove the space in the 'source' field. Thanks! SWinxy (talk) 01:27, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think this has to be done by temporarily putting it on MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist, but I'm not sure. Is there someone who has some experience with this? Is there something we can do within Commons without going to MediaWiki? - Jmabel ! talk 04:15, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • One solution is to simply have the link unclickable. I assume it is then ignored by the filter and anybody can copy and paste the URL to their browser's address bar. Not elegant, but sources don't need checking that often and the link isn't needed for attribution. –LPfi (talk) 06:35, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tried using {{Void}} and {{ns0}} to get around the filter, but it still blocks the edit. I don't know how to make it a blank link, but I have a feeling that the blacklist will still block it. I believe the only way to get past it is the spam whitelist. SWinxy (talk) 20:43, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • @SWinxy: or, in line with LPfi's suggestion, just leaving out "http://", probably accompanied by a remark explaining why. Would that be acceptable to you? - Jmabel ! talk 21:32, 22 June 2022 (UTC) - 21:32, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tried that too. Still blocks it! SWinxy (talk) 21:34, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • @SWinxy: I don't want to mess with the blacklist/whitelist stuff. I think they should be OK the way I've now edited them. I did File:Gumroad logo.svg just as suggested; File:Gumroad old icon.svg is trickier because it has "https:" in the middle of Wayback's URL for the page, but I believe the way I've done this will be clear enough. - Jmabel ! talk 22:45, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
          Awesome. Thanks! SWinxy (talk) 23:19, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the blankspace to get the correct (copy-and-pastable) URL. Added <nowiki> instead. –LPfi (talk) 09:14, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
          Can't thank you enough @LPfi. Maybe I'm dumb, and that's why I couldn't get it working. SWinxy (talk) 00:06, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. How can I add {{License review}} to a large number of pages without editing them one by one? HeminKurdistan (talk) 14:30, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are they all in the same category? If so, go to that category and you can use the "Perform batch task" option from the tools menu on the left edge of your screen. Select the category and then choose "Action: prepend any text" in the dropdown menu. In the text box below that, you can then enter the template string {{License review}}. How can I upload our company's new logo to our Wikipedia page?[edit]

Our company just did a rebrand launch and we'd like to upload our new logo to the Wikipedia page. I don't understand how copyright and licensing work here. The logo jpeg is ours, we have the copyright (Since it is OUR company), so how do I upload? Not clear. Jenna CIA-ICA (talk) 19:08, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The short answer (without seeing the logo) is that you probably can't upload it here on Commons, as it is required that all images here be released under a free license. What you can do is upload it at Wikipedia as "fair use". This is how most logos find their way onto Wikipedia. More information is here. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:50, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright help regarding File:Mira profil.jpg[edit]

--A.Alex10 (talk) 20:39, 23 June 2022 (UTC) Hello, If an email will be sent to the email address permissions-commons@wikimedia.org to confirm that we can use this photo, how can I update the license? --A.Alex10 (talk) 20:39, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@A.Alex10: Hello. Once the mail has been sent, you can edit the file page and add two code templates in the "information" box where it says |permission=:

Hello, it seems that they won't send the email, they said that they can't give exclusivity to Wikipedia... A.Alex10 (talk) 06:43, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@A.Alex10: We don't need an exclusive license, please have them see COM:CONSENT.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 12:26, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I did send them this link before and I sent it again, but they said that they don't want any complications. I really don't know what can I do more. Mira is my favourite singer I really wanted her to have a good and beautiful photo. Thank you very much for the answers. A.Alex10 (talk) 10:02, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@A.Alex10: Perhaps you could explain to them and her manager that article ro:Mira (cântăreață) has had 4,597 pageviews in the past 30 days (and article it:Mira (cantante) has had another 118), and that MIRA may get more famous and may garner more hits on her Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok pages if she has licensed photos on her Wikipedia articles.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 11:47, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, I will try again. A.Alex10 (talk) 14:42, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Captain Thomas O'Doherty[edit]

Hi,

I am trying to upload information on Captain Thomas O'Doherty, founder of the Irish No.1 army band. I do not appear to be online Kind regards User: Captain Thomas O'Doherty Captain Thomas O'Doherty (talk) 11:15, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Captain Thomas O'Doherty: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload smaller (<50,000 bytes or <2,000,000 pixels) pdf and jpg photos as a new user. Each photo you tried to upload is smaller, and you indicated it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads smaller photos, they are copyright violations taken from the web. If you took the photos yourself, please upload the full-size originals of them per COM:HR, including EXIF metadata. If you did not take the photos, please see Commons:Licensing for why we can't accept them as-is, and have the photographer(s) license them on their official websites or social media or send the photos and permissions via VRT with carbon copies to you. If you can't get a compliant license, a photo may still be uploaded to English Wikipedia in compliance with en:WP:F because we don't allow Fair Use here. If you use our Upload Wizard instead, you should be able to avoid that filter. We also accept licenses from photographers' heirs.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 13:26, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What is in your video? Ruslik (talk) 20:23, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can upload videos as webm-files with upto 4GiB size. It is also possible to upload OGV-files but should do that only if the original is OGV. The encoding for webm should be VP9 (VP8 is not as good and AV1 will not show thumb previews). --C.Suthorn (talk) 20:38, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding license and appropriateness[edit]

I wish to upload the image in this tweet, and as per Twitter’s Terms of Service here, the image looks like it can be republished anywhere else. The image has been used by the Australian Institute of International Affairs here, and a very similar image by the London School of Economics here.
The user that posted the image cannot be contacted by direct message on Twitter due to their privacy settings, and they make no mention of alternate contact details.
Considering how Commons/Wikipedia host a variety of parody/adaptations of flags, and this particular image representing the Anglosphere, is it appropriate to have this image uploaded?
Does a mere collage work of national flags fulfill the originality requirements for one to hold copyright?
— Preceding unsigned comment added by MxYamato (talk • contribs) 14:33, 25 June 2022 (UTC) Also, how about the licensing requirements, does this image meet them? MxYamato (talk) 14:30, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @MxYamato: I believe you misunderstand Twitter's terms of service. Twitter itself gets an unlimited license to your content you post on Twitter, but no one else does. - Jmabel ! talk 15:50, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel I have read the archives regarding the use of media from tweets, and I see your point. Could you please comment on the following too:
I wish to ask if a mere collage work of national flags would fulfill originality requirements and therefore become copyright-able? I notice that works consisting of simple geometry, panels of colors, and derivative works of freely-licensed media/equivalents and such similar media are generally also considered to be eligible for uploading. Since this image is a collage work of media that are all individually already present on Commons, can this derivative work be uploaded as well? MxYamato (talk) 16:05, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • @MxYamato: The shadings there are definitely enough to make that image copyrightable. The arrangement itself is not. I'm sure if you want to create a similar image by literally cutting and pasting from existing PD images (and, optionally, adding shading etc. of your own) that would be fine. - Jmabel ! talk 16:26, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel Thank you for your time. I’m creating my own version now. MxYamato (talk) 16:33, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How to request global substitution of file from png to svg?[edit]

I've created a number of vectorised (svg) version of some seals that previously existed as png only. How to request a global substitution (on every projects of Wikipedia and sister projects) of the png file with the svg counterpart I created (ie; File:Seal Chiang Rai.pngFile:Seal Chiang Rai.svg or File:Seal Nakhon Pathom.pngFile:Seal Nakhon Pathom.svg) ? I saw there are some tools but I don't know how to use them. Thank you in advanced. -- Chainwit. (talk) 19:23, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Chainwit.: Hi. You could try posting at User talk:CommonsDelinker/commands or asking a filemover to use justReplace and clean up after themselves at User:CommonsDelinker/commands/filemovers. Both have the same caveats about templates and removal of "File:" mentioned elsewhere on that page. justReplace also may take many iterations before the red dialogs are eliminated and the usage counts per globalusagecount and Special:GlobalUsage are reduced to replacements you must do manually. I did that for you using justReplace with both of the replacements you mentioned.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 23:05, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not ask at User talk:CommonsDelinker/commands to replace a PNG with an SVG. As it says there, "No replacement of images in other formats with SVGs. To avoid World War III, CommonsDelinker will ignore a command to replace an image if the new image is in an SVG format and the original is not." - Jmabel ! talk 23:48, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel: Sorry, I forgot that, and did not intend to start World War III.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 00:18, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reporting users at Meta[edit]

Hi. I protected a category recently and I am being flamed by MetaWiki users including StrikingYouBack who created https://encyclopediadramatica.online/User:Gbawden and another user who bombarded me with emails. How do I go about reporting these users on Meta? TIA Gbawden (talk) 06:56, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Gbawden: I'm sorry to read of your troubles. You may report meta-specific vandalism using this link or generally by posting at m:WM:RFH. You may report crosswiki vandalism by posting in the appropriate section on m:srg.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 11:30, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
StrikingYouBack is now blocked. Other than that, I don't think you have any recourse outside of a lawsuit. That is seriously nasty. - Jmabel ! talk 15:54, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The same happened to me. On Friday I received a wiki-mail from meta-user MIGHTYDESTRUCTOR extorting the revert of edits (which I didn't perform) of another admin on Commons (not Gbawden) who was already blackmailed by an encyclopediadramatica-entry. Some 24 hours later I received a wiki-mail from meta-user StrikingYouBack notifying me about an highly defamatory entry on encyclopediadramatica about me created by an ED-account carrying my Wikimedia-username. Another 24 hours later I was notified by Commons-system about several attempts (unsuccessful) to break into my Wikimedia user account, which is likely an action of the same person(s) behind the extortion-attempt. Taking into account the fact that at least 3 active administrators are already affected, it would be appropriate IMO if T&S were to take action in this case.--Túrelio (talk) 18:53, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Túrelio: I had the same email - should probably report them too Gbawden (talk) 06:54, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple duplicate images - Eric Friedebach[edit]

I have been sorting aircraft museum image categories in to specific aircraft types displayed at each museum, during this process I have noticed many duplicate images by Eric Friedebach. The multiple images are making the task harder especially as one set are poorly labelled/identified. Examples can be seen in Category:Douglas B-23 Dragon at Fantasy of Flight. What seems to have happened is that his photos (over 3,000 on his Flickr account) were uploaded by Panoramio upload bot around April 2017 and then uploaded again by User:Ser Amantio di Nicolao around August 2021. The second set have good descriptions and would be the images that should be kept, the file sizes are slightly larger, have possibly been lightly edited for colour/exposure etc. There is another set of files with the image name pre-fixed 'Eric Friedebach', I don't know if these have been duplicated.

As there are potentially hundreds of images involved I'm looking for advice on the best way to deal with the problem, tagging each image individually isn't really practical. Perhaps all images taken by Eric could be categorised as the photographer and then split the duplicates and tag the category for deletion? I have the Ajax deletion gadget installed but never used it. Can a bot find the duplicates? Many thanks Nimbus227 (talk) 11:06, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Eric Friedebach has 4,700 images on Commons, there is another set of his aircraft images uploaded by User:Tm which I think are not duplicated. Nimbus227 (talk) 11:19, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In Category:Aircraft at the Kansas Aviation Museum half of the 100 images are duplicates, probably a better example. Nimbus227 (talk) 11:35, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of Saudi Arabia[edit]

The user Aziz bm (talk · contribs) noticed that the calligraphy on the flag of Saudi Arabia did not match the official description of the flag. Several variants of the flag still use the incorrect calligraphy, such as File:Flag of Saudi Arabia (construction sheet).svg.
