In addition to the ARCSWiD facilities, the library offers a dedicated room equipped with assistive devices needed by special needs students.

A wide variety of collections are available for loan. Reference and reserved/short loan materials can only be used within the library. The other collections, which are kept on open shelves and include the study and the prescribed collections, can be checked out for three weeks.
Students in the region can also make requests for materials from the Postal Study Collection, which is housed at the Main Campus Library in Pretoria.
Students can browse the library's catalogue, collections, and online resources using their own computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Likewise, students can download e-books, e-journals and e-reserves from the library website
