The Unisa Gauteng Region recently hosted the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) three-day research workshop at its regional hub at the Sunnyside Campus.
In her welcome address and to motivate the students, the Acting Regional Director – having recently received her doctorate – Dr Erin Naude said: "My PhD was a tough journey. I often felt alone and missed family time. If or when you go through the same, I encourage you to bite the bullet and use the knowledgeable professors at Unisa to guide you and complete your studies. It is not easy, yet doable. There is just one word to keep you going – perseverance. You can use the knowledge you gain today for the rest of your life."
