This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

Legal threat[edit]

At Commons:Deletion requests/File:Simone 1973 simone (712017813).jpg (which would have been a simple open-and-shut copyvio case if several misguided users hadn’t turn it a debate platform). -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 09:01, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

  • More legal threats by sock Fcanaveia at their user page: «the entire article must be deleted from Wikipedia or it will be deleted from Google by legal means». It is written in English, meaning they are not just addressing the Portuguese Wikipedia community, even though «the article» is mentioned as such. -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 10:48, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
One must differ from what a warning is, and what a threat is. Since the article was messed up and writers, and fans, and press officer, and pics were deleted, blocked, we warned that the article could be deleted from Google, since her image is damaged and we were all blocked for no reason, except to try to upload the pics we choose and put them in the place we decide. Socking from Deco Gedeon and Babiloniamay be, because is the same office and maybe tha same IP address. But 'fcsimonenaveia' was blocked because it tried to display a picture with the following: "Whe Simone opens her arms on the stage no one is more powerfull on MPB." A very famous phrase abt her, that was deleted at least three times for no reason! And the fcsimonenaveia finally blocked.
A very good example of how we´ve been treated is yesterday´s block against me, I deleted the pics (since our discussion here was OK), but he again reverted, than I posted the link of our discussion and Paulo Simões ignored, and finally blocked me. So, if we here discussed and agreed the pics are not authorized, why should I be blocked when I took the article with the pics away? The agreemnt here was not respect by Paulo and he blocked me because of that!

Como já esperávamos, a pg voltou com as fotos não autorizadas, enquanto puder reverter contra, o tal Paulo Simões, reverte. Sempre contra nossas edições, qqr coisa que incluimos é revertida. Pensei que isso fosse vandalismo.

✓ Done? Babilonias are not registered users in Commons, so no action against them is possible. I blocked Fcnaveia indefinitely as sockpuppet. Fcanaveia hasn't edited for half of year, so block is not practical. I nominated the last upload of Fcanaveia for regular deletion as copyvio. @Elcobbola:, your are correct, I've requested as re-uploaded many times. Yesterday it was deleted, but today again re-uploaded by Redif2. I doubt, they all are same user. @Herbythyme, Elcobbola:, protection request is your call and it's your own decision to accept or decline this request. I deleted one again a little earlier and wondered about blocking but the images tend to be different ones - can't be sure they are puppets but others can... --Herby talk thyme 10:57, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Even if not socks, blocking the file name would only cause the copyvio to be uploaded under a different, unwatched file name--making detection, if any, less prompt and less likely. I see no benefit to name protections in these circumstances. Эlcobbola talk 14:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

User:Emblems, sock puppet of WPK~commonswiki[edit]

Emblems (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log)  has been blocked in Finnish Wikipedia as a sock puppet of User:WPK~commonswiki (fi:Wikipedia:Ylläpitäjien_ilmoitustaulu/Arkisto_54#Estopyyntö_käyttäjätunnukselle_Emblems). Emblems has uploaded File:Finnish jäger flag.png and is now trying to get all other versions of this flag deleted. This is similar to WPK past behaviour of pushing specific versions of Finnish military heraldry. MKFI (talk) 06:10, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

李王陈柳 (talk · contribs)[edit]

Just for the record: I've indef-blocked on the spot 李王陈柳 (talk · contribs), after they vandalized 17 high-profile images related to the U.S., including images of late Mrs. Ruth Ginsburg and Mrs. Amy Barrett, by overwriting them with an obscene attack-image.[1] I've restored the vandalized images and deleted the attack-image version. Since the attack picture mentioned Armenia, I suspect a connection with the current acts of war in Nagorno-Karabakh.
