Her role involves ensuring the delivery of the telescope’s scientific programme. One of the responsibilities is to “recruit and manage a high performing and inclusive team of operations scientists, telescope operators and data analysts, motivating and mentoring staff to meet the current and future requirements of the Observatory”

As an Astronomer she has co-authored many papers on discoveries in the field of Radio Astronomy and holds a PhD in Astrophysics from NWU.
