Shivani currently serves as the Chief Projects Officer at naamsa | The Automotive Business Council. She holds a Master of Commerce (Economics) degree, with a specialisation in industrial development. She is a seasoned operations executive and leads portfolios of inter-disciplinary activities including financial management; governance and compliance; people management; marketing and public relations; as well as new business development.

Shivani is a subject matter expert on business strategy development and optimisation and advises local and global C-suite executives on key strategic issues such as transformation; localisation; sustainability and carbon neutrality; export development; production optimisation; and social impact interventions.

Shivani served as a board member of two organisations - Productivity SA, where she led initiatives to promote employment growth and productivity; and has served as Chairperson of the Automotive Industry Export Council (AIEC), where she represented the interests of the automotive component sector, to drive an agenda of export promotion for emerging suppliers.

She has also served as a Subject Matter Expert on the Investment Management Committee of the Automotive Industry Transformation Fund (AITF) – an Equity Equivalent Investment Programme for the South African automotive sector. She is also an expert on the transition to new energy vehicles and has supported several automotive companies develop and implement their production transition plans and develop carbon neutrality interventions to support their customers’ requirements.
