Other

Benni matriculated in Ga-Rankuwa-Pretoria in 1992. In 1993, he joined the then Department of Social Services as an Administrator. During 1994/1995, he joined the Auditor General South Africa as an Auditor. From 1996 he joined Unisa’s Internal Audit Department as an Auditor where he spent 8 years and later joined their Forensic Investigation wing as a Forensic Investigator for another 7 full years. In 2012, he joined the College of Law (Department Police Practice) as a Senior lecturer.

Benni served in numerous Audit and Risk Management Committee meetings (UNISA), UNISA Talent Advisory Board, The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) Independent Quality Assurance Committee, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Independent Quality Assurance Committee and The Professional Academic Committee (Univ. Hong Kong). Benni presented and was a panelist at the African Capital Cities Sustainability Forum (ACCSF) on “Finance & Governance for Sustainable Cities – issues & mechanisms” organised by the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.

His current research interests is in the fields of Fraud, Corruption, Anti-Corruption, Governance, Ethics and Leadership and continues his research and publication on these topics.
