Fields of academic interests
- Microwave and micro-extraction (SPME, LLME, SDME & HSME) sample preparation
- nanomaterial
- inorganic and organic pollutants
- spectrometric and chromatographic techniques
- various matrices (water, food, petrochemicals, coal, soil, sediments, etc.)
Field of Specialisation
Both inorganic (heavy metals, non-metals and metalloids) and organic pollutants are a threats to living organisms. The existence of these persistent and non-biodegradable pollutants arises from natural, industrial and anthropogenic activities. Most of these pollutants are notorious and even at trace levels (ppb-ppt). Therefore, my research interests are to develop and evaluate environmentally friendly sample preparation methods for extraction of inorganic and organic pollutants followed by spectrometric and chromatographic determination, respectively.
