Purpose statement:
This course aims to empower aspiring and current supervisors, particularly those with limited formal management training, to develop the essential competencies required for effective leadership, team management, and operational efficiency. The course uses student-centered approach through real-life practical examples; therefore, students will enhance their ability to motivate, develop, and guide their teams towards achieving organizational goals.
Modules:
MANEM01 - Management Essentials for Supervisors
Content:
This module covers self-leadership and personal mastery, including emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and ethical leadership. Participants will delve into the role of a supervisor, understanding responsibilities, challenges, and relationship building. Operational management will be addressed through modules on planning, organizing, and performance management. A significant portion of the module focuses on people management, encompassing leadership styles, motivation, communication, conflict resolution, and employee development. The module aims to provide practical guidance on leading, motivating, and developing teams while enhancing organizational performance and individual growth.
