Purpose statement:
Integrating Information Communication and Technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning is a programme in the CPD (continuing professional development) pathway to enable teachers to enhance teaching and learning. The progamme will equip teachers with the ICT skills and content knowledge necessary to transform education system.
Modules:
SCICT1C - Information Communication and Technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning
Content Topics:
The selection of an appropriate ICT device to enable effective facilitation of a technology-integrated lesson.
The use of teaching methods and strategies in a technology -integrated lesson ( Methods e.g. inductive approach, deductive approach, problem solving and cooperative) strategies e.g. discussion, demonstration, questioning, drill/ practice and project.
Submission of two technology-integrated lesson plans that include the following: a lesson topic, content knowledge and skills to be achieved, teaching method and strategy, the use of ICTs in teaching and learning activities, a scenario and the assessment activities.
