Purpose statement:

To enable participants to develop or acquire skills in contract drafting and negotiation.

Modules:

WDRAFT1 - Drafting of Contracts

The theoretical knowledge and practical skills to read and interpret contracts. The ability to negotiate, review and understand the various clauses in a contract. Practical knowledge of drafting of various kinds of agreements, whether commercial or normal An understanding of the important elements for a valid contract Identifying the various types of contracts and differentiating between written and oral contracts. A clear understanding and mindfulness of the practical impact of the Consumer Protection Act and National Credit Act on contracts or potential contracts in your business or work environment An understanding of the rights and duties of the parties to a contract of sale, how an when ownership is transferred, and which parties bear the risk in various business situations.
