Qualification admission requirements

Please note:

  • Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
  • Unisa reserves the right to withdraw any offer for admission to the 2022 academic year should it be found that you do not meet the statutory, college and/or minimum admission requirements for the qualification to which you have been admitted. In such a case, the university will refund any registration fees paid towards the said qualification.

An appropriate NQF 7 qualification in the field of Accounting Sciences from an accredited provider of higher education, refer to http://www.unisa.ac.za/apply/cas/addinf/98231 for more information which complies with the following criteria:
i) The qualification should not be older than three years.
ii) All the final-year semester modules of the admission qualification must have been completed in not more than three consecutive semesters or in the case of year modules in one academic year,
or
an appropriate NQF level 8 qualification in the field of Accounting Sciences from an accredited provider of higher education, refer to http://www.unisa.ac.za/apply/cas/addinf/98255 for more information.
or
applicants who attempted and failed the examination of the equivalent of the CTA level 2 (98255) qualification in 2021 at another SAICA endorsed institution, may also be admitted.
Applicants who do not meet this requirement are advised to apply for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences or CTA Stream of the Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences in an attempt to meet this requirement or to consider enrolling for another postgraduate programme offered by the College
