Our vision
To be a leading academic department in open distance learning - one which epitomises excellence in the provision of Adult Education, knowledge and skills, to youths and adults, to enable them to play meaningful roles in the socio-economic activities in their respective communities, the country and the continent at large. Our mission
We are a department of people-centred education and therefore our priorities are to:
- make basic education available and accessible to youths and adults, especially those in rural and disadvantaged communities.
- provide learner centred teaching with support to equip our clients with basic knowledge and skills for job creation and self-employment
- be involved in community engagement and research activities aimed at community development
