Our vision

To be a leading academic department in open distance learning - one which epitomises excellence in the provision of Adult Education, knowledge and skills, to youths and adults, to enable them to play meaningful roles in the socio-economic activities in their respective communities, the country and the continent at large. Our mission

We are a department of people-centred education and therefore our priorities are to:

make basic education available and accessible to youths and adults, especially those in rural and disadvantaged communities.
provide learner centred teaching with support to equip our clients with basic knowledge and skills for job creation and self-employment
be involved in community engagement and research activities aimed at community development
