The Department of Chemistry is organized around three key areas of research focus: Environmental and Food Chemistry; Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery; and Computational, Structural Chemistry, and Material Sciences. The selection of these areas was primarily influenced by the amalgamation of the department's expertise, accumulated experience, and keen interests, all directed towards tackling societal challenges and needs. Scholars from diverse sub-disciplines, including organic, polymer, analytical, inorganic, and physical chemistry, unite their expertise in pursuit of this shared goal.
