Biography
Mrs Nomadlozi Khumalo she a Junior lecturer in the department of Chemical Engineering, College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET), University of South Africa (UNISA). She started her career at Mondi Packaging in Piet Retief as a process learner in 2005. She worked very closely with process engineers performing mass balances of the plant and HAZOP studies of different plant processes. She was also involved in various projects during her time at Mondi Packaging.
From 2006 to 2015 Mrs Khumalo worked as laboratory supervisor at Nampak Paper, Rosslyn. There she was responsible for commissioning and managing four laboratories and 15 staff members. She led major product development projects and was responsible for the integration of the quality and production of products. She undertook several projects relating to product development and customer relations in different African countries.
From 2016 to 2019 Mrs Khumalo worked as an e-tutor at Unisa. She was responsible for assisting lecturers in delivering module content to students. During the same period she also worked as laboratory facilitator; she was responsible for the calibration and preparation of practical equipment prior to the commencement of practicals, and also facilitated practicals.
In 2019 and 2020 Mrs Khumalo worked as postgraduate assistant. She worked very closely with lecturers and assisted them in their various duties.
