Biography:

Miniyenkosi Ngcukayitobi completed a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at WSU in 2013. He started his career by working for an American multinational manufacturing company (Johnson & Johnson) as a project engineer (2015–2016). Soon after obtaining a BTech in Mechanical Engineering at UJ, he started working at the University of Johannesburg as a junior lecturer, focusing specifically on thermofluids (2018-2021). He then completed an MTech in Mechanical Engineering at UJ in 2020 and joined the University of South Africa (Unisa), working as a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2022-present). His primary research areas are thermal science, electricity generation, refrigeration using thermo-acoustic technology, and engineering optimisation. His passion for education, and for assisting students who never saw themselves excelling academically, is being realised. He truly believes education is a crucial tool for achieving success in society, and is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and mentoring future engineers.
