| Purpose: This module draws from a variety of literature on sustainability which covers knowledge, skills and values that each successful leader needs to appreciate as they navigate their way in the modern day organisations. Our syllabus will cover amongst others the following topics in an integrated set of lessons, discussions sessions, projects that will follow a problem-based approach and review of relevant case studies:
1. Global pacts for sustainable futures
2. Organisational contributions to the triple challenge (poverty, unemployment, and inequality)
3. Sustainability and Prosperity for development
4. Systems Thinking for sustainable organisations
5. Scenario planning tools for sustainable organisations
6. Values based leadership for sustainability
7. Leading sustainability within organisations (social, economic and environmental dimensions) |
