| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to provide knowledge regarding the roles and responsibilities, rights and wellbeing of teachers for advancement of physical, cognitive and psycho-social enrichment. Furthermore, this module will offer intensive and focused detailed knowledge of some challenges in the classroom with practical skills to deal with these challenges in the light of changing circumstances within the African context. This module will stimulate a systematic understanding of current thinking, practice, theory, and methodology relating to teacher support. The student will be expected to relate and apply the knowledge gained to a given context by making use of scenarios, which will ensure continuing professional development for teachers. |
