Purpose statement:

To enable students to acquire basic knowledge of biblical Hebrew grammar to enable them to read, analyze, translate, and interpret simplified biblical Hebrew prose narratives. This will enhance the ability of students to bridge the gap in translating and interpreting the Old Testament or Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) in their own vernacular languages.

SCBHB44 - Biblical Hebrew for Beginners

Syllabus/Content: This module will enable students to acquire basic knowledge of biblical Hebrew grammar to enable them to read, analyse, translate, and interpret biblical Hebrew prose narratives. This will enhance the ability of students to bridge the gap in translating and interpreting the Old Testament or Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) in their own context.
