Ways to give

Online

The Unisa online donation platform is a secure platform powered by Virtual Card Services. It will enable you to make donations to the university by using your credit card securely, anytime, anywhere. Regular or annual funding

The Unisa Foundation is largely responsible for securing regular funding in order to support the university’s core business of teaching and learning, research and innovation and community engagement and outreach programmes. Our main sources of funding are local and international foundations, trusts, corporations and individuals, and we receive funding in the form of cash or in the form of non-financial resources such as computers, books, equipment and other material resources. For telephonic advice, contact development officers.

Bequests

Bequests will assist the university to finance essential projects such as student bursaries, infrastructure and research. Bequests can also play a role in assisting the university to improve its services and to maintain its position as a leader in distance education. A charitable bequest is a gift to a charity, made upon your death, through a will or trust. You can make a bequest to Unisa for a certain amount or for a percentage of your estate, and you can designate that the gift support a purpose or programme at the University of South Africa (Unisa) that has personal importance to you or leave its use to the University’s discretion. Major gifts

Major gifts will ensure that Unisa can offer significant support to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, attract top researchers from South Africa, Africa and abroad, bolster critical research and teaching in all disciplines, and preserve the university’s heritage. For telephonic advice on making a donation call +27 (0)12 441 5694.

Endowments

Large-scale private support, particularly when it comes in the form of an endowment, allows the university to make long-term plans in terms of its students, staff and infrastructure. For telephonic advice on making a donation call +27 (0)12 441 5694.
