Growing up under poverty-stricken conditions in an overcrowded two-room shack in the rural village of Libotlwane, Makapanstad, without electricity, Unisa alumnus Kgaugelo Baloyi rose above adversity to open his law firm. Zane Oswald Cleophas is one of the successful students who went through the College of Law's Recognition of Prior Learning process. Cleophas enrolled at Unisa through RPL with military qualifications and several short courses; today, he holds a master's degree and is pursuing a PhD. Read more

The project aims to establish strong relationships with communities and eliminate the stigmatisation of offenders through restorative community service while also focusing on enhancing offender employability and skills development.
