The purpose of the event was to share information and equip the local farmers and community with the necessary tools and skills required for farming. The secondary objective was to promote agriculture through showcasing different career path opportunities available in the agriculture sector.

Local farmers and community members across the length and breadth of Winterveldt pitched for the event, to attain the necessary information and seize farming and agricultural opportunities available in the marketplace.

Information sessions were conducted by all organisations that were on board. Prospective students were engaged through a platform for Q&As and dissemination of relevant brochures and website referrals. The expo provided Unisa with an excellent platform for targeted student recruitment purposes since it was focused on agriculture.

The Midlands Region was represented by the Marketing Unit and the Facilitation of Learning and Teaching Unit.
