| Purpose: Students credited with this module will have in-depth knowledge, understanding and skills in the specialised field known as operations management (OM). This module includes a specific integrated focus on goods and services from a value chain perspective, and views OM as the key driver for all business activities. With the aid of case studies, simulated experiences, theoretical learning and problem-based learning, in a work-directed OM context, learners will have an understanding of and be able to apply not only the "traditional" topics taught in OM but also the more advanced concepts, models, tools and techniques associated with contemporary OM. |
