Purpose: Qualifying students in this module will be able to use mathematical tools such as calculus to solve complex microeconomic problems related to consumer and producer theories, market structures (perfect competition, monopoly and oligopoly), They will be able to analyze the market efficiency by using the general equilibrium approach. In addition, they will be able to use game theory to explain and solve real world problems. Lastly, they will be able to demonstrate how decision making is done in markets with asymmetric information and externalities. |
