Purpose: This module equips students with knowledge and skills to work with primary sources as a major tool used by historians. Students will be introduced to the study of primary sources, explore the significance of primary sources for the study of Church History today, gain a broad understanding of the situation the authors found themselves in explore the nature and characteristics of the church and its development over time examine examples of Christian writings from different stages in the life of the Church understand the motives behind and methods used by authors.
