Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics - CET2601

Diploma Year module NQF level: 6 Credits: 12
Module presented in English Module presented online
Pre-requisite: MAT1581, CEF1501 Co-requisite: CEF2601
Purpose: The purpose of this module is to introduce students to thermodynamic laws and other basic concepts of chemical thermodynamics. It will also provide students with the relevant theory required in application of these laws and concepts to solve thermodynamic related problems in practical cases. The emphasis of the module will be on problem solving. This module is part of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Students will discover that the network of equations learnt in thermodynamics will find application in a wide range of science and engineering problems which a chemical engineer will have to cope with in the industry.
